LLC "Yazaki Ukraine" was created
on October 23, 2002 by decision of shareholders Yazaki Corporation
(Japan) and its affiliate Yazaki Europe Limited (headquarters
in Cologne, Germany) to produce wiring harness form automotive
industry.
Created by decision of the founders it immediately engaged
in implementation of a solid investment project with value
of 31,7 million Euros. This, by the way, is the largest industrial
investment of Japan in the economy of Ukraine. More than half
of this investment amount provided by the Japanese Yazaki
Corporation has been practically used already. Owing to assistance
of the regional and district authorities the modern factory
started its biography in the plot of land in the village of
Minay with all its infrastructure of 26 thousand square meters
back in summer 2003.
Back in those days an education-training center was already
equipped here. The first Transcarpathians hired by LLC Yazaki
Ukraine were at the cost of the company trained at a similar
factory in a Slovakian city of Mykhailivtsi, secured their
skills practically and produced sample products. The latter
were demonstrated to potential customers for formation of
the orders portfolio. Thus as of October 3, 2003- the date
of official opening of our factory - Yazaki Ukraine
already had the first contract concluded with Opel,
which allowed to start working rhythmically from the very
beginning and create further production program in the running
order.
As of September 1, 2004 the number of employees in the factory
reached 1300. During January-August 2004 as compared to the
similar period of the previous year effectiveness of labor
in the company grew by 100 per cent while the volume of production
increased 20 times.
In December, 2004 the company was certified by the system
of ecologic management ISO 14001 and accredited by the standard
ISO / TS 16949 Specification of Quality Management System.
